Astor PIAZZOLLA
Adios nonino
The arranger says:
Adiós Nonino is a genuine “requiem” that Ástor Piazzolla composed on the death of his father. While on tour in Puerto Rico he received the tragic news and asked to remain alone with his bandoneon (it was the first time he did not write from the piano) and in a few hours he composed this theme that has been around the world. He himself made dozens of versions.
To achieve the maximum possible approach to the language of Piazzolla, not only I have worked this version from the score but I have immersed myself in their live videos and their own recordings. First of all, my priority has been to recreate the elegiac and intense atmosphere of the work.
