Full Description
Regino SAINZ DE LA MAZA
Scherzo (c.1933)
This Scherzo was composed around 1933, an important year in Sainz de la Maza's editorial career, because he began in his Biblioteca de Musica para guitarra(UME) to publish pieces by young Spanish composers which were dedicated to him such as by Pittaluga, Bautista and by himself. The publishers also announced other works which were never published in this series such as Antonio Jose's Sonata and Joaquin Rodrigo's Toccata also from 1933.
The Scherzo is based on a motif in anapestic rhythm written in the main key of B Major.
Critical edition including a facsimile of the composer's m/s
